Putting my Faith into Practice
Our faith as well as being expressed in words and through acts of worship, also needs to be expressed in deeds. As St James says in Scripture (James 2:14-26) faith without deeds is dead. Ignatius of Loyola says something similar when he says, love, which is the root of our faith needs to be put into action and not only expressed by words. The Church recognises fourteen works of mercy, seven to do with the body and seven to do with the spirit. The video below expresses clearly what each of them are and how to put them into practice.
