For some Easter is but a distant memory that has been and gone. However, as Christians we know that the season of Eastertide continues for 50 days and leads us all the way up to Pentecost.

In a world that is struggling to sow the joy of the resurrection at this time, how are you meeting the risen Jesus in your life and prayer?

In the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius of Loyola, having stayed with Jesus through his Passion, retreatants then pray for the grace to experience the joy with Jesus risen. Joy however does not always mean we are super happy and smiley all the time. In fact life can appear outwardly very difficult but deep within us there is a joy that we are in right relationship with God and loved as we are.

As we live in these tense times, when our media outlets remind us so well of all that is wrong with the world, can we be signs of joy in our place of study/work? Can we bring the Good News of Jesus Christ into our settings, not necessarily in words but by the way we live our lives, and through this can we make our contribution to the evangelisation of our Archdiocese?
