Epiphany

  • St Hilda's Catholic Chaplaincy House 56 Amersham Road London, England, SE14 6QE United Kingdom (map)

The Epiphany, the twelfth day of Christmas re-tells the story of the showing of Jesus to the magi. The magi represent all those beyond the House of David. The gifts are symbolic for Jesus - the gold, his kingly nature, the frankincense, an ointment used for anointing, being set apart, and myrrh, an ointment used for the dead. In England and Wales the Epiphany is a holyday of obligation, when everyone should try and attend Mass. To find a church near to your university, click here.
