The Ascension of the Lord commemorates the day, 40 days after the Resurrection (Easter) when Jesus, returned to his Father in heaven. In England and Wales it is a holyday of obligation. If you are at home, why not visit your local parish. If you are at university attend Mass at the Church nearest to your university.
